James Wilson serves as our Director of Client Experience. He is responsible for building and maintaining the North Berkeley brand, outreach such as events and communications, strengthening relationships with community partners, and working with prospective clients. James has a keen eye for design and fine arts and is the curator for our rotating art exhibit.

Prior to joining North Berkeley, James worked as the Web Manager for a small print and web design company in Berkeley and before that ran a graphic design firm. Earlier in his career, he worked at the public affairs forum, the Commonwealth Club of California.

James grew up in a coastal Southern California town and moved to Berkeley in 1995. Before moving to the Bay Area, he spent several years studying in England. In his free time, James enjoys playing soccer, exploring Northern California beaches, and hiking East Bay trails. He lives in Albany with his wife, Annette and their dog Howie.

More About James

Something you may not know about me is…
that I organize and curate a rotating art exhibit in our office. I’m lucky enough to be able to learn about and meet local artists regularly. It gives me great joy to discover the talent we have in the Bay Area and to be able to bring their work into our office environment. Some of my most satisfying moments at work have been on my tiptoes atop a credenza installing a painting.

Outside of work, I like to…
walk through my neighborhood or on local trails with my wife and our dog. We are spoiled to live in a community like the East Bay, and it’s fun to discover new places on foot.
